Natrixam 1.5mg/10mg is an antihypertensive medication containing 1.5mg of Indapamide and 10mg of Amlodipine in a single pill. Indapamide is a diuretic which acts by inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium, thus increasing the urinary excretion of sodium and chlorides. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which inhibits the influx of calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle. Amlodipine has a direct relaxant effect on vascular smooth muscle.
